Multi DVD Cases - Pros and Cons
Although far less common than the standard single and double DVD cases, multi DVD cases are catching on as a space saving and convenient alternative to single DVD cases and DVD binders.
The best thing about multi DVD cases is, of course, that they take up the same amount of space as a regular DVD cases but hold far more DVDs, allowing you to use much less overall space to store the same amount of media.
Cases for multiple DVDs come in a variety of capacities, from 2 or 3 all the way to 8 or even 10 DVDs. Depending on how many DVDs the case holds, they will usually store between one to two DVDs on each of the front and back inner covers, and may also have one or two additional inner flaps which each store another one to four DVDs. Regardless of capacity, they should all come with the standard plastic cover for DVD cases, which will allow you to store your DVD's cover and liner notes without any problems.
One of the best uses for multi DVD cases is for DVDs that are somehow connected or related. An example would be DVDs of TV series, so that you can store all the DVDs of a single series or even multiple series in a single case. Movies and their multiple sequels are also an obvious use for multi DVD cases, as it makes storage and sorting very simple. You could also store your DVDs in multi cases according to actors, directors, genres and so on - whatever will make it easy for you to find DVDs when you're looking for them.
Multi DVD cases usually cost a little more than single ones, but not significantly more. Depending on how many you buy at once you can usually get 6 or 8 capacity DVD cases for less than a dollar each, and if you buy in bulk you can probably get the much cheaper. Be sure to shop around before finalizing your purchase because many places sell DVD cases and it could take a few visits until you find the best price.
