Double DVD cases are available in a range of different sizes and styles, depending on your needs and space requirements. 

Standard Double DVD Cases

These cases look similar to a regular DVD Cases in that they are the same size and thickness, but both sides of the interior of the case are able to hold a DVD.  These double cases are great in that they don't take any additional space and they also make it easy to find the correct discs.

Slim Double DVD Cases

Slim double cases are about the same thickness as a single slim DVD case, which is 7 or 8mm.  The big advantage of slim double dvd cases is that they take up only about half the space of regular cases.  On the down side, however, is that it's not as easy to read the spine of the DVD so scanning through them is difficult, and also if you are relacing an existing DVD cover this may not be an ideal solution as the cover liners will not fit.

Extra Thick Double DVD Cases

These cases are essentially two regular DVD cases stuck together back to back, so they are double the standard width of a DVD case.  These cases are not very common as they take up additional space on your sheleves without offering a lot of benefits, but if you're trying to replace a DVD set that you bought in this kind of case, you may not have a choice.

Double Jewel Cases

Your final option is to simply buy a standard double CD jewel case, either regular or double thickness.  You might be able to find them cheaper than regular DVD cases, although they are more prone to breaking which is a disadvantage.
